2011 Club Championships - Sun 18 Sept

 27 August 2011

The final event of the summer track & field season is our Club Championships, which will be held at Craigswood on Sunday 18 September.

Please download the flyer below for full details about the event.

Entries must be made in advance using the online entry form. The entry fee is £5.00 and you can pay this online too or by cash/cheque - details on the form.

The closing date for all entries is 7.00 pm on Wednesday 14 September.

The format is similar to previous years, with the following highlights:
Medals will be presented for 1st/2nd/3rd place in each event for each age group (U11+), which athletes from any West Lothian athletic club are eligible to win.
Athletes aged 6 to 8 can compete in an "Under 9's Triathlon" with a 60m sprint, standing long jump and shot putt. It's open to all, family or friends, with a medal for every competitor.
The overall Livingston Club Champions will be decided using the UKA scoring tables, with the winners in each age group having the highest points total. So the faster you run, or the further you throw/jump, then the higher your points score. Every millisecond and every centimetre counts!
Livingston athletes can compete in the medley relay, which consists of mixed age/gender teams of 4 athletes running a 400m, 300m, 200m and 100m, with a prize for the winning team. Relay teams will be picked at random on Wednesday 14th September, at the end of the training session.

Parents are required to help officiate the field events and relay changeovers (no experience necessary). If you're available to help, please contact Alistair.

Also, in previous years, there has been a BBQ during the championships. This could be restarted if anyone volunteers to run it? Contact Alistair if you're interested...

Full event details and competition rules are available on the flyer.
