Livingston Open Meeting - Arrangements

Arrangements for the Open Meeting on Wednesday night now that entries have closed:

Timetable

The final timetable for Wednesday night is available below.

Track events will be seeded based on performance only (not age group), with the heats ordered fastest to slowest, except the 1500m heats which will be ordered slowest to fastest.

The high jump pools will also be split by personal best, not age group. Athletes with a personal best of 1.30m or higher will be in the first pool, and athletes with a personal best of less than 1.30m or no personal best will be in the second pool.

Declarations

Declarations open at 6.00 pm in the athletics pavilion (overlooking the finish line). You're expected to declare at least 45 minutes before the start time of your first event, with final declarations 30 minutes before the published start time of each event. Last declarations will be at 8.00 pm.

Refreshments

Tea/coffee, home baking and filled rolls will be available throughout the evening in the club room overlooking the 100m start.

More donations of home baking are also needed please.

Club Kit

Club kit will NOT be sold at this meeting.

New members don't need to wear a club vest and trainers are fine if you don't have spikes yet, unless it's raining in which case spikes would be required for high jump and javelin.

Car Parking

If the sports centre car park is full, please park on Grange Road and NOT the residential streets opposite the Sports Centre.

If you park on Grange Road near the Industrial Estate, there is a path leading to the back of the Sports Centre. Please leave plenty of time to find a space!

Spectators

Spectators should remain outside of the track and field competition areas at all times. Athletes and coaches should also avoid crossing the finish line when they're not competing and another race is in progress, as this may interfere with the photofinish.

Officials & Volunteers

Thanks to all those who have volunteered to help, the rota will be emailed to you shortly.

We're also looking for a few more parents (or athletes who aren't competing) to assist officials with field events, to ensure the event runs smoothly. If you're available to help, please contact Alistair.

Start Lists / Results

Track events will be seeded into heats after declarations close. Start lists for track events will then be posted on the athletics pavilion window and also available online via the 'Entry List' link below.
