2016 Club Championships - Arrangements

 10 September 2016

A reminder of arrangements for the Club Championships tomorrow:

Timetable

The final timetable for tomorrow is below. The U11 long jump has moved to 2.30 pm and the U17/SEN javelin is now at 1.30 pm.

Track events will be seeded based on age group, with the heats ordered youngest to oldest.

Please listen for any changes in the timetable. If you have a clash of field/track events, track events take priority, but please report to your field event first and return to your field event immediately after the track event has finished.

Declarations

Declarations open at 10.15 am in the athletics pavilion (overlooking the finish line), and will close 30 minutes before the published start time of each event. Please declare for all your events at your first visit.

Vest numbers should be worn front and back with each number secured by 4 safety pins, except high jump where only a front number is required.

Refreshments / BBQ

Tea/coffee and home baking will be available throughout the day in the club room overlooking the 100m start.

There will also be a barbeque selling burgers from about 12.00 pm.

More donations of home baking are needed please.

Club Kit

Club vests, crop tops and girls shorts are in stock in all sizes and available for purchase from the pavilion tomorrow until 12.00 pm.

Hoodies can be ordered if your size is not in stock.

New members don't need to wear a club vest and trainers are fine if you don't have spikes yet, unless it's raining in which case spikes would be required for high jump, javelin or hurdles.

Car Parking

If the sports centre car park is full, please park on Grange Road and NOT the residential streets opposite the Sports Centre.

If you park on Grange Road near the Industrial Estate, there is a path leading to the back of the Sports Centre. Please leave plenty of time to find a space!

Spectators / Safety

Spectators should remain outside of the track and field competition areas at all times.

Athletes should also avoid crossing the finish line when they're not competing and another race is in progress, as this may interfere with the photofinish.

Long throws are included in the event programme, so under no circumstances should anyone take a short cut across the infield.

Officials & Volunteers

It takes a big team of officials and volunteers to run athletics competitions. Thanks to all those who have volunteered to help, the rota will be emailed to you shortly.

Medley Relay

Teams for the Medley Relay were drawn randomly at the end of the training session on Wednesday night and are available on the club website via the link below. If anyone is no longer available for the relay, please let Alistair know tomorrow.

Tombola

If you have any donations for the tombola, please hand these to Nicola or Viv in the pavilion at the start of the day.

Entry Lists

Entry lists are available via the link below. If contacting us about any errors or omissions, please provide your entry confirmation number or reply to your confirmation email.

Programmes

A full event programme will be available tomorrow (suggested donation £1.00) with start lists for every race.

Results will also be available online during the day via the 'Entry List' link below.
