Livingston Open Cross Country Series - Sat 7 Oct

The first event in Livingston AC's Open Cross Country Series is on Saturday 7 October at Dechmont Law Park, Livingston.

Course Distances

There are separate races for each age category and the course distances are:

U11: 1.3K
U13: 1.7K
U15/U17W: 2.4K
U17M/SEN: 3.7K

The timing and distances of the event are also intended to provide a practice opportunity in preparation for the East District events later in the month.

Entry

Entries must be made in advance using the online entry form via the link below. There are no late entries or entries on the day.

The closing date for all entries is midnight on Wednesday 4 October.

The entry fee is £3.50 per event which can be paid online via PayPal.

Entry is currently free for Livingston AC members, however the parents of junior members are expected to assist at least twice per year at club events.

Club Championships

For Livingston AC members, Club Championship medals for the series will be presented at the Annual Awards Evening for the overall 1st/2nd/3rd place for each age group (U11/U13/U15/U17/SEN). U20s, Seniors and Masters will be combined for medal purposes. Guest athletes are NOT eligible for medals.

Age Groups

The meeting is open to male and female athletes in age groups from Under 11 to Seniors and Masters. Athletes must be at least 9 years of age on the day of competition.

U11: Born 01/09/2006 or later
U13: Born 01/09/2004 - 31/08/2006
U15: Born 01/09/2002 - 31/08/2004
U17: Born 01/09/2000 - 31/08/2002
U20: Born 01/09/1997 - 31/08/2000
SEN: Born 31/08/1997 or earlier

Parent Helpers

It takes a big team of officials and volunteers to run athletics competitions. Parent helpers are needed to help with course marshaling, teas and course set-up/clear-up.
