2014 Club Championships - Arrangements

 12 September 2014

Arrangements for the Club Championships on Sunday:

TIMETABLE
The final timetable for Sunday is below. Please check your event times as some events have changed slightly from the provisional timetable and some field events have been split into smaller pools to reduce waiting times.

Track events will be seeded based on age group, with the heats ordered youngest to oldest. In all long jumps competitions, males and females will compete in different pits.

DECLARATIONS
Declarations open at 10.15 AM in the athletics pavilion (overlooking the finish line).

REFRESHMENTS
Tea/coffee and home baking will be available throughout the day in the club room overlooking the 100m start. More donations of home baking are also required and would be very welcome.

BBQ
There will be a barbeque selling burgers, cheese burgers and veggie burgers.

BOTTLE TOMBOLA
We're also looking for donations of bottles for a tombola stall. So if you have anything from a bottle of shampoo to a bottle of champagne that you would like to offer, please bring it along and hand to Debbie or Julia in the pavilion. We're grateful of all donations no matter how big or small.

CLUB KIT
Club kit including vests, crop tops, hoodies, t-shirts and tracksuits will be available for purchase from the pavilion. The club tracksuits are excellent value at just £20!

New members don't need to wear a club vest and trainers are fine if you don't have spikes yet, unless it's raining in which case spikes would be required for high jump and javelin!

CAR PARKING
If the sports centre car park is full, please park on Grange Road and NOT the residential streets opposite the Sports Centre.

If you park on Grange Road near the Industrial Estate, there is a path leading to the back of the Sports Centre. Please leave plenty of time to find a space!

MEDLEY RELAY
Teams for the Medley Relay were drawn randomly at the end of the training session on Wednesday night and are available on the club website. If anyone is no longer available for the relay, please let us know.

SPECTATORS
Spectators should remain outside of the track and field competition areas at all times. Athletes should also avoid crossing the finish line when they're not competing and another race is in progress, as this may interfere with the photofinish.

VOLUNTEERS
It takes a lot of volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the event. Thank you to all those who have volunteered to help, the rota will be emailed to you shortly.
