One of the first competitions of the summer season is the Edinburgh & Lothian Trials - an open meeting held at the East Lothian Athletics Arena, Tranent, on Sunday 31 March.

Open meetings give athletes an extra opportunity to compete, and try new events or set personal bests, without the formalities of league/championship competitions. For any new members, these events are an ideal first competition.

Entry

Entries must be made in advance using the online entry form. There are no late entries or entries on the day.

The closing date for all entries is midnight on Monday 18 March.

The entry fee is £3 per event which can be paid online via PayPal.

Age Groups

Athletes must be at least 9 years of age on the day of competition.

U11: Born 01/09/2008 or later
U13: Born 01/09/2006 - 31/08/2008
U15: Born 01/09/2004 - 31/08/2006
U17: Born 01/09/2002 - 31/08/2004
U20: Born 01/01/2000 - 31/08/2002
SEN: Born 31/12/1999 or earlier
